By that time, I think they were a minor league Devo and an American version of XTC. Except for two or three songs, that didn't impress me, but don't ask me why I bought the second album. But since, there was the movie scores by Danny Elfman. Listening to the Simpson theme for the first time, I said to myself : this is Oingo Boingo ! In fact, we can hear on this record a lot of patterns Elfman will use in the soundtracks of Tim Burton's movies. Thanks.
